The five categories of invitees I always suggest my clients that can help them decide the size of their weddings are:
Category A: The Immediate Family
Parents, Grandparents and Siblings
Category B: The Extended Families
Uncles, Aunties and Cousins
Category C: Friends of the Bridal Couple
Category D: The Friends of the Family
Category E: Parents and Bridal Couple's Associates
Note: When discussing the guestlist with everyone who is involved, stress the importance of correct spelling for the names of the guests being submitted. I would go for a type of list or computerized over handwritten to avoid mistakes.
